CIMIC Group Limited (formerly Leighton Holdings Limited) is a foreign-owned, publicly listed company that operates as a construction, project development and contract mining group. CIMIC Group employs around 29,000 people with operations in approximately 20 countries across the Asia Pacific, the Middle East, South America and Sub-Saharan Africa. The company is headquartered in North Sydney, New South Wales. 

CIMIC Group is listed on the ASX under the code CIM. HOCHTIEF Australia Holdings Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Germany-based HOCHTIEF AG, holds a 78.58% interest in CIMIC Group Limited. The company's ultimate parent is Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA, a Spain-based civil and engineering construction business.

CIMIC Group is the parent company of a group of services, project development and contracting companies. The companies that make up the CIMIC Group are:

• CPB Contractors: provides design, construction and maintenance services to the infrastructure and energy sectors across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

• Leighton Asia, India and Offshore (owned by CPB Contractors): a construction contractor operating throughout Asia specialising in civil and infrastructure, building and contract mining.

• Broad (owned by CPB Contractors): provides both residential and commercial property development and development management services across Australia.

• UGL: provides engineering, construction, maintenance and asset management services to the resources, power, water, defence, rail and transport sectors.

• Pacific Partnerships: involved in the development, construction, operation and maintenance of Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects in Australia and New Zealand.

• Sedgman Limited: a global minerals processing and materials handling plant developer.

• EIC Activities: provides engineering-related design, technical support, research and technology for Group projects.

• Devine Limited: Australian residential property developer. 

CIMIC Group also has investments in:

• Ventia: a service company that focuses on telecommunications, infrastructure and utility industries. (32.8% interest)
   
• Thiess: provides contract mining services including planning, mine infrastructure, material handling and processing, plant management and technical services across Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Philippines, South Africa, India and Mongolia. In December 2020 CIMIC Group sold a 50% interest in Thiess to Elliott Advisors (UK) Ltd. Thiess is now operated as a 50/50 joint venture between CIMIC and Elliott.
